On 14 June, 2007, a concerned mother sits with her sick son in the childrens ward of Ferris Hospital during an Iraqi Women's Engagement (IWE) operation in Ferris, Iraq. The IWE conducted face to face interviews with women around the community in order to gather atmospherics, identify needs and concerns of local families and facilitate future operations. The IWE service members are deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
